its been long doing this stuff again and this chemistry is getting over me. I just wanna stay away from it, but every time its sticking with me like adhesive. I have just got tired And this is the thing which can spoil my dreams

Eclipsed science in media

As a daily reader of science, I hardly read of any science. If it is there at all, it is found tucked in any corner of the paper. Today our generation is going away from science too. They are not keenly interested in science.

Media channels are not playing role in spreading knowledge of science. It provides full news on the games, crimes and other activities like elections, any ill activity. It gives the complete knowledge of this all. But when comes the talk of science, this is silent. We have some channels related to the science like the national geographic, history channel, animal planet, discovery channel etc. These channels are good source of information regarding the science and technology. But here comes the problems again. Everyone doesnt watch them.

The people would like to watch sports rather then to watch these channnels. He would like to watch to news of terrorist attack on any place rather than to watch the dull programs on these channels. Only intrested persons and the students of science.

Besides this all our news papers are too far behind. A daily news paper has pages on different topics But on the scince, theres not such a page. Either it may be found in any corner of the newpaper. Every day news papers are full of news related to crime, sports etc then the science.

On other hand, politics is the other striking issue. Whenever there is any election, media channels telecast it  whole day. Even any political activity, they make it the big bang.

Media, both print and visual, can do their best in this issue. Only this is the source of long communication.

Our news channels should start some hourly programs on Scince. They should show the past, present and the future of Indian scince. So our news papers too.

If we ask a prirmary boy that who is the captian of Indian cricket team? He would surely, but if we ask any student about the recent noble prize winner of India, he is unable to reply. Because he reads the daily newspaper and the news channels. And this media is giving importance to the crime and games.
